Tuesday 19 April SafeRoad received the award Business of the year 2009. "A very worthy winner", said County Mayor Olav Bratland.
Tuesday 19 April, SafeRoad was awarded the prize Business of the year 2009 at the Hotel Union in Geiranger. CEO Jon Erik Engeset and SVP Communication Elisabeth Maråk Støle were present to receive the award.
"For a company, it is important to be appreciated locally. It shows that they are valued in the community in which one operates", said Engeset.

Grand prize
The prize is awarded each year to companies who have distinguished themselves and are eligible to inspire the county's industry to contribute to the community. In all, 16 companies were nominated for the award and several criteria must be met in order to reach the top. Among these were:
• Organisation, personnel and business management
• Profiling
• Product development
• Internationalisation
• Importance for community and industrial communities in the county
Considering the citation from the county council on why SafeRoad was awarded the prize, it is clear that growth, ability to be innovative and being a local support for the community were among the main arguments for the award.
